Readaro

Terms of Service

Last updated: October 26, 2026

These terms apply when you download or use Readaro, the app and its online services ("Readaro", "we"). By using Readaro you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Readaro.

1. Your account

Some features need an account. Keep your password safe; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create one.

2. Your books and content

You bring your own books. Only import books you have the right to use, such as books you bought without copy protection or books in the public domain. Readaro doesn't remove copy protection. Your books, highlights and notes remain yours; you give us permission to store and process them only to run Readaro for you (for example to sync them, or to write questions for you with AI).

3. Readaro Pro, the free trial and payments

4. AI features

Some Pro features are written by AI. AI can be wrong. Questions, feedback and summaries are study aids, not facts to rely on for important decisions. Each account has a fair monthly AI allowance that covers normal reading; if you reach it, AI features pause until the next month.

5. Acceptable use

Don't misuse Readaro. For example: don't try to get around the trial or the AI allowance, access other people's data, overload or attack our services, or resell access to Readaro's AI.

6. Updates and changes

Readaro updates itself to fix problems and add features. Features may change over time. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and let account holders know. Continuing to use Readaro after that means you accept the new terms.

7. Ending your account

You can stop using Readaro and ask us to delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

8. No warranty

Readaro is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it reliable and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be error-free or available. Please keep your own copies of books that matter to you.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Readaro is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, United States, unless the consumer law of the country where you live says otherwise.
